Great grouping of two (2) caps and four (4) photographs belonging to a USAAF pilot who served in the Air Transport Command (ATC) during WWII and the early post-war years.

This lot includes:

- An OD crusher cap, "Flighter" model manufactured by the renown Bancroft. Very nice shape with dark OD wool gabardine crown, green wool officer mohair band and brown leather visor and front chinstrap. Nice oversized and unmarked officer front insignia. The leather sweatband shows the Bancroft Flighter logo with the pre-1945 "Pat. Pend." marking. This cap is identified on the visor, near the middle, close to the sweatband

- A khaki/tan officers cap manufactured by "Dobbs". It also has very nice "crushed" shape with light khaki/tan wool crown, khaki wool officer mohair band and brown leather visor and front chinstrap. This cap is also identified on the visor, in the middle near the sweatband. Regular size unmarked insignia.

- A portrait of Lt. Alter in his OD gabardine uniform.

- A set of 3 photos of Lt. Alter annotated by himself. All 3 are dated from the post-war years (1948) and were taken in Puerto Rico.

Belle forme avec coiffe en laine de gabardine verte foncée, bande d'officier en laine verte, visière et jugulaire frontale en cuir brun. Bel insigne frontal d'officier de taille large et non-marqué. La bande de sudation en cuir montre le logo Bancroft Flighter avec la variante du marquage "Pat. Pend." datant d'avant 1945. Cette casquette est identifiée sur la visière, au centre, près de la bande de sudation.

- Une casquette d'officier en laine beige fabriquée par "Dobbs". Celle-ci dispose également d'une belle forme avec coiffe en laine beige, bande d'officier en laine beige, visière et jugulaire frontale en cuir brun. Bel insigne frontal d'officier de taille normale, non-marqué. Cette casquette est également identifiée sur la visière, au centre, près de la bande de sudation.

- Un portrait du Lt. Alter portant un uniforme OD.

- Un ensemble de trois photographies représentant le Lt. Alter et annotées par lui-même. Celle-ci sont datées d'après-guerre (1948) et ont été prises à Puerto Rico.
