Fantastic grouping belonging to an enlisted man of the US Army Air Service.

This lot includes:

- A rare pair of M1917 service boots in average condition. The leather is a little dry. The laces are original byt are in poor condition. They are a small size, about a 6 1/2 E.

- A M1917 wool service tunic with the US Army Signal Corps collar discs and a 6-month overseas service stripe at the bottom of the left arm. All buttons are present. The manufacturer's tag is illegible.

- A pair of wool service trousers.Model with eyelets and lace fastening on the lower part of the legs. The manufacturer's tag indicated that it was manufactured by David Epstein & Co. Contract Aug. 14, 1917 Specification 1263 - Amended - New York Depot Q.M.C.
It comes with a standard issue khaki canvas belt

- A garrison cap with the scarce US Army Air Service propeller insignia. Nice yellow satin lining and leather sweatband.

- 3 pairs of leg wraps / puttees. Two are of the commonly issued model and one is a very nice two-tone wool wrap with the manufacturer's tag "Phoenix".

- A set of two photographs / postcards representing this soldier wearing this uniform.

A wonderful identified grouping! Great addition to a WWI USAS collection.

Fantastique uniforme ayant appartenu à un soldat de l'US Army Air Service.

Ce lot inclus:

-Une rare paire de brodequins de type M1917 en état moyen. Le cuir est un peu sec. Les lacets sont originaux mais sont en mauvaise condition. Ils sont de petite taille, a peu près un 6 1/2 E (US) / 40 (FR).

Une tunique du modèle 1917 en laine verte avec les insignes de col de l'US Signal Corps (Communication) et une barre en bas de la manche gauche indiquant un service à l'outre-mer de 6 mois. L'ensemble des boutons sont présents. L'étiquette de fabricant n'est pas lisible.

-Un pantalon de service en laine verte du modèle à œillets et lacets en partie basses des jambes. L'étiquette de fabricant indique que ce pantalon fut fabriqué par David Epstein & Co. - Contract Aug. 14, 1917 Specification 1263 - Amended - New York Depot Q.M.C.
Ce pantalon est équipé d'une ceinture de service en toile beige.

-Un calot équipé du rare insigne de l'US Army Air Service. Belle doublure en satin jaune et bande de sudation en cuir.

-3 paires de bandes molletières. Deux sont du modèle couramment distribué, l'une est d'un modèle soigné, avec laine en deux tons et étiquette de fabricant "Phoenix".

-Un ensemble de deux photographies / Cartes postales représentant ce soldat portant cet uniforme.
